Souffles tombés (Fallen Breaths)
Photographs and videos
2021-

At the same time as I moved into my new house, I was collapsing. As I went to the river to find reassurance, I met a tree. A willow tree, whose branches had been cut off and had fallen onto the ground. A wounded willow, like me, but in which I saw the same will for life, in its persistence to grow new stems where its arms had been severed. Its branches were still strong and joined the ground, creating a shelter I could go inside.
Since then, I go visit it regularly as I would visit a friend, taking pictures as I check on it. I am learning more about it and getting to know other beings around: sweet clovers, plovers, drifting ice, spiders, and winds from the west.
