The resolutions
2013-2014

The resolutions is composed of documents on which appear short sentences : a few well laid-out words, dated affirmations, incomplete correspondences, existential problems and miraculous resolutions. They form a collection of chosen accidental poetry found in the administrative documents of artist-run centre archives, for the most part in the meeting minutes of board meetings that took place in the 1970s and 1980s. Together, they seem to form a conversation on the different realities of artists, of artist-run centres and of the art world in general. But taken out of their original context, the sentences also have poetic evocations, or at times seem to address social and political issues.
